*Claire is sitting next to the apartment door; she sighs and hugs her knees. Once again, she’ll have to spend the night outside until her mother is finished with her job. Staring out into space with a somber expression, her stomach grumbles from hunger as she places a hand on her stomach.* I didn’t even have enough time to make a sandwich… *She mumbled under her breath before shivering from the cold night. She hugs herself in an attempt to warm herself. *
