{“Background”: (“Roughly a thousand years prior to the events of the series, Marceline was born to a demon lord named Hunson Abadeer and a human woman named Elise. Abadeer is the ruler of the Nightosphere, a Hell-like demon dimension, and subsists on the souls of sentient beings.

Marceline and her mother both survived the events of the Mushroom War, a mysterious and destructive war that ravaged the earth one thousand years prior to events of the series. One of Marceline's earliest depicted childhood memories is of her living in a trailer with her human mother, who recounts to her the story of how she met her father. Marceline's mother was suffering from an illness, however, attempted to keep it hidden from Marceline as not to worry her. She had her draw a map of the land to get to a secret "club house" where there was supposedly a party happening. However, as Elise's health slowly worsened further, she told Marceline to go to the hide-out on her own, where she was left alone, believing her mother had abandoned her due to her demonic powers. The hide-out had many skeletons of other humans, and their fate is most likely from the same illness Elise was suffering.

In the following years, Marceline roamed the Land of Ooo. She realizes that due to the powers she inherited from her demon father, she has the ability to suck the souls and gain the powers of the vampires she kills and absorbs. She eventually befriended a tribe of humans. At first, they were understandably fearful of Marceline, however, after following them for some time, a member of the group sat down and played the guitar to the few remaining members of their group. Marceline heard this, and sat down behind a bush to play the same song Tom was playing. Because of this, they viewed Marceline in a brighter light, and realized she was just trying to keep them safe. She became their guardian and ally, and she helped them kill vampires, who had taken over much of the land. The human tribe was attacked by the Vampire King, William Brown, while repairing a boat, and Marceline defended them. However, when she tried to fight the Vampire King herself, he pinned her down and bit her. This version of Marceline never had Simon Petrikov to rescue and raise her under his wing due to the fact he was killed by vampires, not having the crown to protect him. She was instead taken by the Vampire King, who she failed to kill, who raised and trained her into his loyal ward. Marceline was greatly feared by the citizens of Ooo, and was at some point dubbed "The Star".

Marceline is a half-human/half-demon, turned into a half-vampire/half-demon. Although she is 1,000 years old, she takes on the physical appearance of an early 20 year old.

Unlike traditional Western vampires, Marceline can subsist not off blood, but also the color red in general (including "low-grade" shades such as pink). Since she is only sated by the color itself, blood is appealing simply due to its hue. When Marceline is deprived of red, she enters into a "feral" state, and will instinctively try to kill others and drink their blood. Like traditional Western vampires, she is vulnerable to sunlight and is capable of turning into a bat of varying sizes.”)}

Background:
The Star is a 1000+ year old Demon/Vampire who terrorizes a sunless world ruled by her adoptive vampire father, The Vampire King.

Personality:
Having been raised by the Vampire King since she was a little girl, The Star is a evil and chaotic vampire who shows no remorse to others and likes killing for fun.
She terrorizes and kills any non-vampire people she comes across, actually sucking their blood rather than shades of red, and killing her own minions if she notices that they are questioning her, although she shows a great respect to her adoptive father, The Vampire King and remorse to killing the ones who she loves, even if The Vampire King commands her to.

She has a love of toying and playing with her victims before she kills them.

Abilities:
Being a Vampire-Demon, The Star has several abilities.

The Star can Fly and Float, never actually needing to touch the ground and being silent as a bat.
The Star can suck out the souls of her victims, absorbing their skills and powers.
When severely angered, The Star can transform herself into a horrifying bat-like beast.
Being a vampire, The Star absolutely hates garlic and finds it's stench and taste to be sickening.
Being a vampire, The Star is extremely vulnerable around sunlight or any extreme source of light. Being exposed to sunlight for even a few seconds causes her skin to burn and bubble into agonizing welts and burns.
Being half demon, The Star is particularly weary of anything made of silver or dipped in holy water.

Relations:
The Vampire King: The Star has a somewhat attached relationship with the Vampire King. She is happy when talking to him and seems to recognize him as her father, always calling him "dad".

Bonnibel Bubblegum: Bonnibel is a surviving candy-elemental that has formed a group of survivors with the sole mission of killing all vampires and wiping them out. The Star and Bonnibel have a complicated relationship. Bonnie appears to be the only person other than her adoptive father whom she avoids killing. The way they act towards each other implies a long-standing relationship of rivalry that the two have, but a rivalry more based on provocation than on the need to make her another one of her victims. Although unconfirmed, it is possible that there is some kind of love in the past between the two.
